Cannock Chase
This tour allows you to explore Cannock Chase, once a deer park used by the Bishop of Coventry and Lichfield, which played its part in the industrial revolution. Today it’s an area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, the smallest in Britain. There is much military history to discover as well, especially from the 20th century. Hear more about RAF Hednesford, the commonwealth cemetery and the main German military cemetery in Britain, containing some 5,000 war dead. Also hear about the ghosts & stories of strange things that happen, including tales of the hairy beast.

Black Country
This tour takes you into the heart of what is known as the Black Country. Much of the industry has now gone, but you can still see where many of the factories used to be and hear why it grew up in the way it did and became the furnace of the World. Discover a little more about its links to such famous ships as the Titanic and famous cars made by companies such as Jensen. Find out more regarding an area that is 13 miles by 9 miles centred on Dudley and was the heart of the industrial revolution.

Walsall & Wolverhampton
Explore the edge of the Black Country by visiting the areas around two of the major places of population. First of all Walsall, once known as the leather capital of the World and also as the town of a 100 trades, as so many things were made here. The author Jerome K. Jerome who wrote 'Three Men in a Boat' was born here. While not far away is Wolverhampton, where local companies like Guy Motors, Sunbeam, Chubb and the aircraft manufacturer Boulton Paul were based. Only recently was it granted city status.

The Romans & Mercia
This tour explores around the old Roman road of Watling Street with its staging post of Wall still visible. Nearby is Brownhills, now believed to be the possible site of a battle and the reason while the recently found Staffordshire hoard was located there. This was the largest collection of Anglo Saxon gold & silver ever found and the tour also covers some of the history of ancient Mercia, including a brief visit to Lichfield, once the seat of the Bishop of Mercia.

Shugborough Historic Estate
Set in 900 acres of English countryside in the heart of Staffordshire, Shugborough has rolling swathes of lush green parkland, historic woodlands and Grade I listed formal gardens which frame a perfect riverside setting. The house was enlarged around 1750 under the architect James Stuart, who also created a number of follies and monuments in the grounds. The entire estate was remodelled at the turn of the 19th century. The extensive grounds are connected to the village of Great Haywood by the Essex Bridge, built in the Middle Ages, and contain numerous sculptures. It is now a National Trust property and is wholly financed, administered and maintained by Staffordshire County Council. Upon arrival you will be greeted by the Groups Organiser. The Summer Tour begins at 1030 and includes 2 hours free time where you can visit the Mansion House, Georgian farm, Walled Gardens and the Servants’ Quarters before lunch, with sandwiches, cake and drink. [Winter Tour arrives at 1100 and features a 75 minute private tour of the Mansion House before an inclusive lunch of Soup & roll, home-made cake and drink. At approximately 1330 your coach will depart for the Walsall Store.
