Canal Cruise
This interesting tour takes in a cruise on a short section of one of three trans-Pennine waterways, the Leeds and Liverpool Canal. The cruise starts and ends in the attractive village of Foulridge, just fifteen minutes away from Colne. Step aboard the Marton Emperor - a 48 seat canal cruise boat operated by Foulridge Canal Cruises as it sails along one of the highest and most scenic stretches of the canal through the Pendle countryside towards the village of Salterforth. The cruise lasts about one hour and the boat is fully equipped and heated, with refreshment and toilet facilities available.

£14.50 per head. Inclusive of beverages, tours, lunch and afternoon tea at BBs Coffee Shop. Minimum number to qualify = 20 people

Pendle Witches
The tale of the Pendle Witches goes back to 1612 and we visit Barrowford, Gisburn, Chatburn, Downham, the Nick of Pendle and Padiham. We hear the tale of Alice Nutter, Elizabeth Southern and Anne Whittle, who were accused, tried and found guilty of witchcraft. There are rumours that one of the witches is buried in the graveyard at Newchurch under a stone bearing a skull and crossbones, but this is now considered by historians to be apocryphal. However, the villages have retained many of their original buildings, and driving around the hill-country in the steps of the witches still brings history to life. This tour is a great introduction to the Pendle area and to the atmospheric tale of witchcraft and injustice.

£11 per head. Inclusive of beverages, tours, lunch and afternoon tea at BBs Coffee Shop. Minimum number to qualify = 20 people

Towneley Loop
This tour takes in the Weavers Triangle before we climb onto Deerplay Moor for some breathtaking views of the ancient hunting forest of Trawden. Joining an old turnpike highway we descend into Cliviger, the largest parish in England, passing the old Towneley Arms and Dyneley, (the present home of Sir Simon Towneley). We then tour around the whole of the parkland of Towneley Hall, visiting the village of Walk Mill with its fascinating industrial history and past. From here we climb up through Mereclough towards Worsthorne, with splendid views of the parkland and the hall. Passing The Hollins, the house where Lady Alice Towneley spent her last days, we drive past the home of Burnley FC -Turf Moor, to finish at Towneley Hall itself for a brief visit before returning to Boundary Mill.

£11 per head. Inclusive of beverages, tours and lunch. Minimum number to qualify = 20 people

Roses Tour
This tour criss-crosses the old border between the County Palatine of Lancashire and the West Riding of Yorkshire, providing some fascinating history and some delightful views of the vale of Craven and the Ribble, Hodder and Calder valleys. Visiting the pretty villages of Gisburn, Mitton and Whalley, two abbeys and Clitheroe Castle, the tour is a trip back in time to the Wars of the Roses, the English Civil War and the destruction of the monasteries by Henry VIII.

£11 per head. Inclusive of beverages, tours, lunch and afternoon tea at BBs Coffee Shop. Minimum number to qualify = 20 people

Gawthorpe Hall
A wonderful Elizabethan gem built between 1600 and 1605, Gawthorpe Hall was home to the Shuttleworth Family for many hundreds of years. Today it is run by the National Trust. Discover the fascinating stories about the family who lived at this fine house. You will be shown much of the fine Victorian architecture designed by Sir Charles Barry in the mid 19th Century as well as some of the Hall’s best Jacobean features, including the famous plaster work ceilings dating from the 1600’s. It houses the Rachel Kay-Shuttleworth Collection, one of the best collections of textiles in the country, and also displays a large number of National Portrait Gallery paintings.
